About

Maxlworks

An independent studio in Salzburg, Austria, that builds the Alps for real-time worlds.

A village square with a stone fountain, a bench and a notice board

Maxlworks makes environments for Unreal Engine that look like real places in the Alps – because they are taken from them.

Farmyards, village squares, the wood stacked against a house wall and the flower boxes under the windows: the things that make an Alpine village feel lived in. We build them one by one, at real-world scale, and make every one of them ready for the whole year.

Maxlworks is run by Maximilian Oberrauch in Salzburg.

How we work

Three rules

  • Measured, not invented

Every asset starts from a real example: its size, its proportions, its wear. Villages, farms and streets in the Alps are the reference.

  • Every season

A mountain village changes completely over the year, so every asset is built for spring, summer, autumn and winter.

  • Checked before release

A pack goes on sale only after its quality check: every asset reviewed, the project tested in the stated engine version, the documentation written.
