Common questions
The documentation of Alpine Village Props – 4 Seasons also covers the free sample.
How do I add the pack to my project?
Add it to your project from Fab (in the Fab plugin in Unreal Engine or the Epic Games Launcher). The pack is a content-only project with everything in Content/AlpineVillageKit; you can also open it on its own and Migrate that folder into your project. Do not move the folder in the file system – references would break.
Which engine versions are supported?
Unreal Engine 5.8 (tested with 5.8.3). The assets were saved with 5.8 and do not open in older versions; versions for 5.6 and 5.5 are planned as a free update.
How do I switch the seasons?
Drag BP_AVK_SeasonController (folder Blueprints) into your level, choose the season in its details and press Apply Season. In play, call Apply Season on it from your own Blueprints. Details: documentation, section 6.
Does it need Nanite or Lumen?
No. Nanite is on for most assets and needs a DirectX 12 (SM6) or Vulkan GPU; without it the engine draws the four included LODs. Lumen is recommended; baked lighting works too (UV channel 1 is a clean unwrap).
Where are the source files?
The FBX files with their LODs, the weathering masks and the 4K textures are a separate download in the Fab listing of the full pack (2.1 GB).
What may I do with the assets?
Use them in your games, films and other projects under the Fab Standard License. Reselling or redistributing the assets themselves is not allowed.
